Google doodle celebrate 87th birth anniversary of legendary Bollywood actor Amrish Puri

Today on 87th birth anniversary of legendary actor Amrish Puri, Google Doodle honoured him. 

In his lifetime, he appeared in more than 200 films. Even, Steven Spielberg described him as his "FAVOURITE VILLIAN".

Beileve it or not, actor wanted to be bollywood hero, but he failed the screen test in 1954.

It was in 1971 when he got his big break at the age of 39 in movie named Reshma Aur Shera. Till then, he used to do theatre and voice over for actors.

Ten years later, he got his Hollywood break with Oscar winning film- Gandhi.

In 1984, Steven Spielberg hired him to play the role of Mola Ram in Indiana Jones And the Temple of Doom, which he initially turned down.

He has done films in a dozen of languages such as Hindi, English, Punjabi, Tamil, Malayalam and so on.

In 1987, he gave us the most iconic character of hindi film industry ever, Mogambo for Mr. India. And, the most iconic dialogue which is MOGAMBO KHUSH HUA.
